Dear families,
I cannot believe we are already approaching the end of the school year. While the weeks ahead will certainly fly by, we still have several exciting learning opportunities and events planned for our students.
This week, your students will be participating in CMAS testing, taking place from 7–9 April 2026. Students will complete their assessments during their Silver 5 classes. We wish all students the very best as they demonstrate their learning. Please also keep an eye out on Blue and Silver days, we have a few changes due to CMAS.
Over the coming weeks, our schedule will be full of engaging, hands-on science experiences. Our current unit on microbiomes will include a series of practical laboratory activities designed to deepen students’ understanding through inquiry and experimentation. If your child is absent, I will do my best to provide access to the lab materials or a video of the activity where possible. To ensure continuity of learning, it is very important that students attend office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays if they miss a lesson.
Toward the end of April, students will also participate in a frog dissection as part of our biology studies. Further information will be shared with families closer to the date.
Once all photo waivers have been finalised by the office, I look forward to sharing photos of students engaging in their learning throughout these practical activities.
Thank you for your continued support this school year. It is greatly appreciated. I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead.
Kind regards,
Ms. Rhodes
