Helping Those in Need
Our goal is to support the welfare of animals in need. That means we want more than anything to have our rescues find their forever home, in a clean, healthy, and loving environment. If you feel like you’re ready, fill out an adoption application today!
Our Process
To begin the adoption process, potential adopters complete an application that helps us learn about their living situation, bird experience, and expectations for ownership.
Within a week of submitting an application, our review team will reach out via the phone number or email provided to complete a thorough screening process that includes an interview, reference checks, and a home visit. These steps allow us to better understand each person and home to ensure it is a safe environment for a parrot to thrive.
Once approved, adopters are invited to meet available birds and spend time finding the right companion for their lifestyle and family. We believe adoption is about more than simply choosing a bird, it’s about creating a lifelong partnership that benefits both the bird and the adopter.
Because we place such importance on making thoughtful, successful matches, our process does not result in same day adoptions. We understand this requires patience, but experience has shown that taking the time to carefully evaluate each placement leads to the best outcomes for everyone involved.
If you are seeking a quick adoption or are considering a bird for a minor, or as a gift for someone else, our rescue IS NOT the right fit. Our commitment is, and always will be, for the long term well being of the birds in our care and the families who welcome them into their homes.
Visitations to birds in quarantine are not permitted.

Penelope, a Derbyan, is a very scared little soul, but she’s been slowly finding her courage since coming into the rescue. While she’s still timid, she’s already begun to come out of her shell in quiet, meaningful ways. With patience and a gentle approach, she will sit on a towel on your lap and simply be near you. No rush, no pressure, just learning that people can be safe. Penelope isn’t a bird for someone in a hurry. She needs time, understanding, and a calm presence.

These baby Red Rump Parakeets are just starting their journey and already showing so much promise. Cherry is the braver of the two and will step right up, curious and ready to engage. Sprite is still a little nervous, but that’s completely expected at just 6 months old, both babies are still learning about the world and the people in it. With gentle handling, consistency, and a little patience, Sprite’s confidence will come quickly. These babies are at the perfect age to bond and train. They’re a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to shape a young bird’s trust and grow a lifelong companion.

Finley is a Green Cheek Conure with a BIG personality! He is the perfect mix of sugar and spice! One minute he’s your sweet little shadow, wanting to hang out with you and be part of everything you’re doing… and the next, he’s letting you know (very clearly) that he’s had enough. He truly enjoys being around his person and thrives on interaction, but Finley is also quick to get overstimulated or annoyed, so he’ll need someone who understands conure body language and can respect his boundaries.

Chewy the Green Cheek Conure is a sweet girl with a fun, playful personality. She loves to interact but can be a little nippy at times, sometimes unprovoked but mostly when she’s feeling overstimulated. Chewy would do best as the only bird or in a home without birds her size or smaller, as she doesn’t do well with them.

Meet Tango the Nanday Conure! He is a sweet and affectionate 3 year old who absolutely loves attention. He’s a total snuggle bug for the most part and enjoys soaking up all the love from his humans. He also has quite the personality and loves to chat, he is always asking, “What are you doing?” Like many parrots his age, Tango is starting to come into his hormones, so he can be a little nippy at times. He’ll need a home that understands normal parrot behavior and is willing to work through those moments with patience and love. Tango is also a bit unsteady on his feet, so he would do best in a home where someone doesn’t plan to constantly walk around carrying him.

Garrus is a handsome Green Cheek Conure looking for a patient and loving forever home. Like many small parrots, Garrus can be a little shy and timid when meeting new people. He prefers to take things at his own pace and needs someone willing to earn his trust rather than rush the process. Once he feels safe, however, his sweet and loving personality begins to shine through.
Garrus would do best in a home that understands that trust is built over time. With patience, consistency, and kindness, this little guy has the potential to become a wonderful companion.
