Client: The Vanderpump Dog Foundation,
www.vanderpumpdogs.org/stop-yulin-forever-march
I was tasked with researching, strategizing, and executing the international public relations strategy for Stop Yulin Forever’s PSA, and October 4th Peaceful March & Protest to the Consulate-General of The People's Republic of China in Los Angeles, to influence an end to the Yulin Dog Meat Eating Festival and mass atrocities in China.
Tactically, I had written and pitched the media advisory, event listing, and post-mortem press release to media outlets, along with writing and sending invitational letters to the Governor of California, and Mayor of Los Angeles.
Client: Beyond the States - tech startup
The Beyond the States platform was conceived with an alternative in mind to the high cost and long-term commitment of pursuing Bachelor's Degrees in the US.
Specifically, Beyond the States offers a comprehensive searchable database of more than 1,500 accredited bachelor’s degree programs taught in English throughout Europe. They help students and their families find information on how to earn their bachelor’s degrees in Europe in less time and with less money while gaining a competitive edge in the job market.
In spearheading the launch of Beyond the States platform, I strategized and executed:
Poring over media directories, specifically, CNW's World General Media Distribution List for academic-related publications, education publications, education writers, and expat publications in East Asia and the Middle East
Utilizing findings in preparing the media list consisting of targeted media outlets and contacts from India, UAE/Dubai, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Asia Pacific, China, Singapore, Vietnam, and South Korea
Modifying press release in relevance to students living abroad, then distributed it to the targeted media outlets and contacts in announcing the release of Beyond the States online membership portal, which resulted in several targeted media publications picking up our story, particularly at targeted Chinese news publication.
Client: STOP ANTIPOLEEZ advocacy group
The Risk in question: A product on the market, ANTIPOLEEZ lozenges, which allows those choosing to drive under the influence to mask their illegal alcohol consumption levels, and pass police breathalyzer tests.
STOP ANTIPOLEEZ, an advocacy group launched by American citizens who, after stumbling upon ANTIPOLEEZ lozenges and looking more into it, realized how fast its popularity and demand are growing. They are completely disgusted with the product itself and the dangers it poses to public safety, and were determined to put an end to the product’s problematic existence.
Thus, the reason behind them reaching out and enlisting me to take on the risk communications campaign to counter the product marketing and sales. Specifically, I strategized and prepared the PR plan and press release for the advocacy group's risk communication and counter ANTIPOLEEZ campaign.
Employer: Unleash PR
Amongst other tasks, I crafted and disseminated radio news releases and event listings, which generated publicity/public interest for some of Unleash PR’s clients' public education campaigns and events, specifically, Port Credit Living’s breast cancer awareness event, and the youth empowerment events - The Just Us Project, held throughout Ontario, which featured a documentary by producers, Alex and Meghan Nicholls.

Providing assistance with appeal letters, invitations, and obtaining auction prizes for Cambridge and District Humane Society’s “Elephant Waltz” event, which was specifically a donors appreciation event and fundraiser
Internship Employer: Cambridge Memorial Hospital
For Cambridge Memorial Hospital, I supported the Communications Department with:
Inspecting all hospital floors, consulting with managers in all departments, specifically, Infection Prevention and Control, then, preparing signage report, plan and with the CEO’s approval, designing upgraded risk communication signs for the hospital
Completion of news releases, news clippings, business letters, annual reports, public policy brochures, IT student booklets, biographies, photos, and layout
Adjusting all communication materials to align with accessibility requirements
