Mr. Dellinger grew up here in York County and graduated York College of Pennsylvania in 2010. His student teaching placement was Red Lion Junior High in the fall of 2010 with 7th Grade science teacher Mr. Schreckengast. He would then be hired as a long term substitute for another 7th Grade science teacher at the junior high school for the spring of 2011. That position became open and Mr. Dellinger was hired on full time at the start of the 2011-2012 school year as a 7th Grade science teacher. In 2016 Mr. Dellinger completed his Master's Degree in 21st Century Teaching with a 3.94GPA through Wilkes University. He continues to develop as a professional through online courses and is actively pursuing further education in the School Business Leadership program at Wilkes University.
Over the years, Mr. Dellinger has helped the district develop the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support program kids know in the district as the PRIDE Matrix and PRIDE Drawings. In addition, Mr. Dellinger has been a part of Envirothon, the Blended Teaching Cohort, the PA Fish and Boat Commissions' Trout in the Classroom initiative, and the Susquehanna River Basin Commissions' Eels in the Classroom program. Mr. Dellinger has been serving as the Junior High Science Department Lead since 2020 and is always looking to improve his department and the teaching of science in the district.
Mr. Dellinger lives within the Red Lion community with his wife and best friend of over a decade and their two children Elijah (8) and Ezra (4). Both boys love to play soccer. Elijah enjoys Pokemon battles and helping his dad with outdoor projects. Ezra loves animals and watching episodes of Wild Kratts. Mr. Dellinger and his wife also recently added an Australian Shepherd (Nori) to the family and she is quite the handful. Together the family enjoy the outdoors, having Mario Kart battles, gardening, cooking, and going for day trips. The family tries to go to the Outer Banks and Chincoteague Virginia during the summer months and like to spend a weekend in the spring and fall at a cabin in Potter County, Pennsylvania.
