2. Math Facts Practice (5 minutes a night)
The flashcards below are available for you to print out for your child to use. They highlight the fact we're working on this week. You can make your own as well using index cards or post-its!
3. Word Work Practice (5 minutes a night)
Use the word cards (below) to practice our reading words for this week. These words link directly with our story for the week.Â
You can print these word cards out, make them on index cards or post-its, or use Quizlet.com to practice digitally.
-Scavenger Word Hunt: Hide words around a room and have your child find the word and say it.
-Memory: Place words face down and have them read them as they turn them over.
-ABC Order: Have students mix up words and put them in alphabetical order
-Build the word: Use any object in the house (legos, coins, cereal) to build the words and read them to you.
-Beat the Clock: See how many facts your child can get correct in under a minute. Try to encourage them to beat their time! (We do this in class!
-Memory: Place flashcards face down and have your child say the answer as they flip it over.
-Go Fish: Use the cards to play with your child and ask if they have a card that has a sum or difference of a certain number!
