Phil Pitchford is the Public Information Officer for the City of Riverside. He works closely with City Manager Al Zelinka and his executive team, Mayor Rusty Bailey and nearly all City departments to communicate important messages about people and programs making a difference in Riverside. He also liaisons with the City’s marketing team and public information officers from the Police and Fire departments to ensure a coordinated response to all media inquiries. He is a co-founder of CQ Media Group LLC, which provided public relations, media relations and content production services to clients around Southern California. He worked in newspapers for about 25 years, including the last 18 years as a reporter at The Press-Enterprise, covering a variety of beats, including transportation, business in San Bernardino County, Ontario International Airport, and government and politics in Riverside. He is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Riverside.
