California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP)
What is CAASPP?
Why is your child's participation in state-testing important?
California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress
CAASPP is a California-required assessment
All students in the state take the SAME assessment
It shows student improvement from year to year
California uses test scores to determine if schools need special support
It’s fair. It’s one test, taken the same way, to see how well students are doing
It’s an overall assessment, not specific to your textbook
Gives students a chance to prove that they have learned the academic material
The state requires that 95% of its students take CAASPP
Lastly, tests like CAASPP show that innovative, different schools, like Riverside Virtual School, work! RVS is #1!
