Step into 1927 Hollywood at the dawn of the “talkies.” Singin’ in the Rain follows silent-film idol Don Lockwood, his wisecracking best friend Cosmo Brown, and rising star Kathy Selden as they navigate a studio’s hilarious—and chaotic—transition from silent movies to sound.
Based on the beloved 1952 MGM film, the stage adaptation features a witty book by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and classic songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed, including “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Good Morning,” “Make ’Em Laugh,” and “Moses Supposes.” With show-stopping tap numbers, romantic comedy, and the iconic onstage rainstorm, this joy-filled musical is perfect family theatre and a wonderful way to bring our community together.
