Arlington High School has five distinct Career Technical Education (CTE) programs from three different industry sectors. The programs prepare students for their future careers by demonstrating professional skills in Career Student Organizations, earning industry recognized certifications, and earning college credit while still in high school.

Biomedical Sciences
Samantha Byers has spent over five years conducting research in the fields of organic chemistry, biochemistry, and biomedical sciences. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry in 2018 from UC Riverside. She then attended UC San Diego as a Biomedical Sciences Ph.D. student. During this time, she realized that she had a passion for scientific education and transitioned out of the program with a M.S. in 2021. Following this, she obtained her M.Ed. and teaching credential from UC Riverside in 2022. She is excited to share her passion of learning and science with her students. Ms. Schreck has been a photographer for over twenty years, and a videographer for fifteen years. She's been a teacher for eleven years; thirteen if you count when she presented the star shows at RCCs planetarium to students of all ages. After getting her Bachelor's degree, she went back to school to get her teaching credential and Master's in Education, and is currently getting her Master's in creative writing.Mrs. Tamayo

Cheryl Tamayo has been a Science teacher now for the past 13 years, 3 of which she's had the privilege of teaching Biomedical science. She received her Bachelors degree in 2006 from La Sierra University, and her Masters degree in 2008 from National University.
