About the Matches

In a ComedySportz match, players are split into two teams red and blue, where they play two separate quarters to compete for the most laughs and win points. The players with the most points by the end of the match win the game and victory for their color! ComedySportz matches come in several varieties: home-games, away-games, and Improv-a-thon! Home matches are hosted at King usually once a month on a Thursday and will occasionally feature gimmicks that move the match a long in a more insane and hilarious manner. A good example of this would be Proptober, a Halloween match where players use props brought in from the audience and tie them in to whatever game their playing. Away games are specially hosted matches with other schools, where friendly rivalries become a little more heated. Take our Golden Sippy Cup match for example, where Poly and King players duke it out for the ultimate prize: The Golden Sippy Cup. Finally there's Improv-a-thon, this occurs once a year towards the end of Second Semester and is a culmination of everything ComedySportz Highschool matches have to offer, 8 hours of nonstop comedy where everybody plays and audience participation is heavily encouraged.
