The counselors at John W. North High School advocate for all students to achieve academic success and personal wellness in a supportive environment. The counselors at JWNHS foster responsible decision- making and personal growth while creating a safe environment.
If you would like to see your counselor, please make a request by CLICKING HERE. You can also sign up in the Counseling Office using the QR code link, and we will send a pass to meet with you as soon as possible. If you are not missing a class, you are welcome to wait in the Counseling Office for your counselor to become available.
If it is an emergency, please ask your teacher to write you a pass to come to the Counseling Center. If your counselor is not available, notify one of the secretaries that you need to talk to a counselor, and they will attempt to locate a counselor for immediate assistance.
Unless in case of an emergency, we would greatly appreciate it if an appointment is set up prior to stopping into school. You can also contact your student's counselor with questions/concerns via phone or email. Every effort is made to return phone calls/emails within 24-48 hours; each counselor is responsible for more than 450 students, and we appreciate your patience during busy periods throughout the school year (e.g. first 5 days of each semester, registration weeks, etc.).
