In my freshman year of high school, I had diffuculties navigating what classes I should be enrolled in to puruse my dream of going to a four year university. With the help of my AVID tutors and teachers, I have always received the best  support and guidance I needed throughout my four years. From teaching me how to stay organized and the most efficient study habits. I was able to keep a positve mindset in life that has not only let me grow as a young woman, but as an AVID scholar too. To me, AVID teachings and lessons will carry with me beyond highschool and even be used when I begin college. With the guidance of AVID I was able to achieve my dream of going to a four year university in the upcoming fall.

These past four years of AVID have been life changing in many ways. My freshman year started off rough with it being my first year back at school since COVID. I was unorganized, immature, and unmotivated. With the help from my tutors, teachers, and peers, I was able to find the motivation to do better for myself and my future. With the guidance of my tutor, Bailey, I was able to keep myself accountable in regards to my grades, my behavior in class, and my mindset. AVID is more than just a college prep program, it showed me many life skills that I never knew I needed. AVID is the reason that I got into multiple colleges and I am forever grateful for this program.
