RUSD will provide this California state-mandated instruction for high school students in biology. RUSD science teachers will use the Positive Prevention Plus curriculum for approximately ten days. Students that opt-out of this instruction will be provided different videos/lessons for the same amount of time.
El RUSD proveerá esta enseñanza exigida por el estado a los alumnos de escuela secundaria en biología. Los maestros del RUSD usarán el currículo de Positive Prevention Plus durante aproximadamente diez días. Los alumnos que optan por no participar en la enseñanza no tendrán acceso a los videos de Positive Prevention Plus y se les proveerá otro video para la misma cantidad de tiempo.

Parents/guardians have the right to opt their student out of receiving this instruction. If you do not want your student to participate in this instruction, please check the box, sign, date, and return the bottom portion of the Opt Out Form found below to your student’s teacher.
If you would like for your student to participate in Comprehensive Sexual Health and HIV Prevention Education, you do not need to complete this or any other form.
