River Edge Schools Summer Academy 2026

Program Dates:

📅 Tuesday, June 23 – Friday, July 17 (18 days)
🚫 Closed on July 3 in observance of Independence Day

Schedule & Tuition

💲 Exploratory Classes (Tuition-Based)

• Each Exploratory class costs $80.

• Students enroll in two classes per session (Session 1 or Session 2).

• If your child attends only Exploratory classes, tuition is:

  • $160 for one session (2 classes)

  • $320 for both sessions (4 classes)

📌 Important Registration Information:

• Registration does not guarantee enrollment

• Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis

• If a class reaches capacity, students will be placed in a similar Exploratory class based on available slots and grade level

• Final schedules will be shared at the beginning of May

📝 Payment Details

• All tuition payments must be made through PaySchools or by check

• Payment opens on Monday, March 2nd and closes on Friday, May 29th

• Tuition is non-refundable as class offerings depend on enrollment numbers

✅ Invitation-Only Academic Classes (Founded By The River Edge School District)

• If your child was invited to an Extended School Year Class, ELA Intervention, Math Intervention, ESL, or Integrated Enrichment class, you do not pay for that class—it is funded by the River Edge School District

• If your child is only attending an invitation-only class, there is no tuition cost

• If your child is taking an invitation-only class AND an additional Exploratory class in the same session, you only pay for the Exploratory class ($80 per class)

• If your child is taking an invitation-only Integrated Enrichment class (which spans a full session of 2 class periods) but wants to attend the full morning, you can add two Exploratory classes in the other session for $160

Class Sizes

• Academic Intervention: Max 10 students

• Academic Enrichment: Max 15 students

• Exploratory Classes: 13-22 students, based on classroom size and course

🕘 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy
To ensure smooth transitions, students must enroll in either 2 or 4 classes—not 1 or 3. This allows for consistent drop-off and pick-up times, which are:

• Morning Drop-Off: 8:20 - 8:30 AM

• Mid-Morning Break & Pick-Up (End of Session 1): 10:20 - 10:30 AM

• Final Dismissal (End of Session 2): 12:20 - 12:30 PM

📍 Pick-up Location: Cherry Hill School Blacktop - A primary guardian or the same person who drops off the student should pick them up. If someone else will be picking up your child, please notify us in advance.

🚶 For Students Walking Home:

• A dismissal form (included in registration) is required

• No student will be permitted to leave alone without this form on file
