8th Grade Units: Energy, Waves, Matter, Reactions and Forces
The 7th and 8th grade curriculum is aligned and based on the Next Generation Science Standards. Mixed with a pedagogy of Ambitious Science Teaching, Project Based Learning and Inquiry Based Experiments.
Grading Policy
Summative assessments will be worth 60% of student's total grade. This includes quizzes, unit exams, finals, projects and final lab reports.
Formative work will be worth 40% of student's total grade. This includes labs, notebook check-ins, reviews, homework, and participation.
