We have a positive behaviour policy which is based on six key pillars: Relationships, Rules, Routines, Communication, Sensory Processing and Positive Environments. We consistently promote and model our high expectations of all at Riverbank. Our behaviour policy shows a clear link between right and wrong behaviour and therefore, links to the civil and criminal law of England. CLICK HERE TO ACCESS OUR POLICY
The student and tutor group reward system is used throughout the day to reinforce good behaviour and leads to certificates being presented in assemblies and termly trips for the winning tutor group with the most points. The photo above was from a Navigator class that chose to go to a local farm for their winners trip! The reward system reinforces positive actions and positive attitudes throughout the school day.
We teach students to distinguish right from wrong and to respect the civil and criminal law of England. This is supported by our positive partnerships with local agencies including the community police service who carry out planned and supported work in our school every year.
Riverbank students are encouraged to accept responsibility for their behaviour, show initiative and understand how they can contribute positively to the lives of those living and working in the locality in which the school is situated and to society more widely. This is evidenced through our Work Experience program, charity work, Community Work and the Green Flag Eco Schools Quality Mark.
