Our aim:
We are a group of students who want to raise the profile of Riverbank Academy and help students to rise to their future potential.
We are planning trips and writing letters to famous people and leaders to see if they can become our role models
Alex, Chris , Jacob, Andrei and Opuko
Research potential role models
We used the computer and our initial ideas to research potential people to reach out to for help
Survey students
Our survey would not send to the other students so Andrei solved the problem and got the students to do the survey one at a time with him.
Reach out to potential role models
We wrote a letter and Melissa has sent it to 3 famous people and 1 sports brand

On 24th Wednesday our group team planned a trip to town to see peoples drawing on the walls, we had thing with us in case on of us get sick or have another problem. We took pictures of the drawing, we crossed the road very CAREFULLY, we had a break of walking to have hot chocolate because its was very cold. We chatted about what places are safe to meet up. We went to this lady and she talked about this event in town with people ice skating and when it gonna happen and where its gonna be in town. We went on walk again, we went past the place the ice skating will be happening. We then went to Nando's to eat and at the end we took pictures of all the drawing in town

We decided for our second trip we would take the whole class to visit somewhere we could all access. We chose The Wave in Coventry City center as we thought it would help us find out about the type of jobs people can do there and give us some ideas of what we can do with our leisure time.
We went on the trip with 4 'A' level PE students from Ernesford Grange and Mr. Heavey.

We saw lots of different areas including a gym, swimming pool, wave pool, slides, sauna, hot tub, gym, and beauticians.
We really liked the gym, sauna & jacuzzi, the adventure area with the slides, and the way the lockers worked with your wristbands
We were also really impressed by the facilities for people with disabilities. There were ramps, grab rails, lifts, hoists, and adapted showers and toilets

We discovered that there are lots of different jobs including:

We really enjoyed the trip. It encouraged us to try new experiences and speak to people we did not know. Some of us are thinking of going back with our friends and families.
