Provides fulltime education, Monday to Friday 8:50am-3:05pm (with 30 lessons taught each week)
To support a love of reading students access 2 lessons of literacy. To support their independence, students also access 2 lessons of functional skills.
To promote a love of reading and to build on core vocabulary all students take part in reading interventions every morning.
To support their independence students are taught 4 lessons of Functional Skills each week.
To support their independence and personal development students access 4 lessons of Independent Living, 4 lessons of Active Citizen, 2 lessons of My Tool Box and 1 lesson for EHCP targeted support.
To support their awareness and mutual respect of the wider world every half term students take part in our Countries of the World event to learn about different places and cultures by exploring different foods, languages, music and dance.
To support their fitness, health and leisure, students access 2 lessons of PE and have increased access to our fitness suite.
Students access 3 lessons of Crafts and Enterprise and cover 3 different art forms each year to support their creativity and self-expression whilst promoting art as a life long leisure activity.
To support their independence students access 2 lessons of Home Cooking in our purposefully designed Independent Zone.
To support their independence, interactions, well-being and mental health students access 3 lessons of the Wilderness Challenge!
To ensure 16+ has a strong sense of cohesion, community and togetherness, classes join up for 1 lesson every week to celebrate their success and discuss topical events.
