I started working in the Hospitality industry ten years ago. The hotel, being a small property, did not have an Accountant on site and managers were expected to take care of the daily bookkeeping and accounting. The General Manager at the time asked if I would be interested in learning how to take care of all of these tasks for the hotel and I am glad I said yes. I started small and increasingly took care of more workload. The pull toward Accounting and Bookkeeping got stronger in college where I took Financial and Managerial Accounting courses. I knew at this point that this was what I wanted to do from now on. I passed my QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Bookkeeping certification and now have years of experience. I took some projects during my career including cleaning up books, catching up on bookkeeping when the client was late, taking care of/or supporting payroll duties, and more. Starting my bookkeeping company is a fairly new endeavor that I am very excited to share with you.
