We are excited to announce the Artificial Intelligence & Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) 2027 Conference, to be held at the AMS Joint Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL. AIMS is a premier forum at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and the mathematical sciences, bringing together researchers, academics, and industry professionals to explore the deep links between modern AI and core mathematical structures.
The AIMS 2027 Conference continues the tradition of AIMS meetings as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration. As AI reshapes data science, cryptography, optimization, and theoretical computer science, its reliance on algebraic geometry, number theory, and computational methods remains central. The conference will showcase cutting-edge research, foster new collaborations, and address foundational challenges through a mathematical lens.
The AIMS 2025 continues the tradition of AIMS meetings as a premier platform for interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of AI and mathematics. As AI reshapes data science, cryptography, optimization, and theoretical computer science, its reliance on deep mathematical structures—such as algebraic geometry, number theory, and computational methods—remains crucial.
The conference will showcase cutting-edge research, foster new collaborations, and address fundamental challenges through a mathematical lens.
The session will explore cutting-edge topics at the nexus of AI and mathematical sciences, including:
Neurosymbolic learning and algebraic structures, with applications to Galois theory, polynomial solvability, and moduli spaces
Graded neural networks and transformers, incorporating algebraic gradings, symmetries, and structured representations
Computational algebraic geometry and AI, including Gröbner bases, symbolic–numeric methods, and AI-assisted computation
Arithmetic and geometry of algebraic varieties, including weighted projective varieties, rational points, and arithmetic dynamics
Zeta functions, counting problems, and arithmetic invariants, from both theoretical and AI-assisted perspectives
Algebraic aspects of cryptography and post-quantum cryptography, including isogeny- and code-based methods
Quantum computational algebra and quantum coding theory, emphasizing algebraic and geometric foundations
AI-assisted mathematical discovery in algebra, number theory, and geometry
Selected papers from the session will be considered for special issues of peer-reviewed journals (to be announced).
Interdisciplinary Scope: Engage with AI and mathematics in an integrated setting.
International Community: Connect with researchers from around the world.
Publication Opportunities: Submit to special issues dedicated to the conference.
Inspiring Venue: Experience Chicago while participating in high-level scientific discussions.
Mark your calendars for 2027 and join us in Chicago (venue to be announced) for a focused and forward-looking session on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematical Research. Be part of an ongoing dialogue shaping algebraic and geometric foundations of AI.
