WHAT WE COLLECT
Account. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your email address, your display name, and an account identifier. We use these to create your account and keep your receipts in your account. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
Your business details. Anything you enter in the app: business name, address, phone, email, tax or VAT number, currency, tax rate, receipt numbering and your business logo. This appears on the receipts you issue.
Receipts you create. Line items, prices, totals, notes, payment status, and any customer name, phone number or email you type onto a receipt. Customer details are stored only as part of the receipt you put them on. The app does not build a customer directory.
Photos you scan. If you photograph a paper receipt, the image is uploaded so it can be read and attached to the receipt you create from it.
Voice recordings. If you dictate a sale, the audio is uploaded so it can be transcribed into a receipt.
Device information. A push notification token and whether the device is iOS or Android, so we can send notifications you have asked for.
Purchases. If you subscribe or buy the lifetime option, our payment provider tells us which product you bought and whether it is active. We never see your card details.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with the services that make the app work: Google Firebase (sign-in and push notifications); Amazon Web Services S3 (storage for your logo and scanned receipt images); OpenAI (receipt photos and voice recordings are sent to OpenAI to be read and transcribed, which is how the scan and voice features work; OpenAI processes them to return the result and does not use them to train its models); RevenueCat, Apple and Google Play (purchases and subscription status). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
WHY WE ARE ALLOWED TO USE IT
We use your data to provide the app you asked for, to keep your account secure, and to meet our legal obligations. Where the law requires consent, for example for the camera, microphone and photo library, the app asks you first, and you can refuse or withdraw it in your device settings. The app still works without those features.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep your account and receipts for as long as your account exists. Scanned images and voice recordings are kept with the receipt they belong to. If you delete your account we delete your data within 30 days, except anything we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Email hashir@ripeseed.io and we will respond within 30 days. You can delete your account from Settings in the app, which deletes your receipts and files. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
CHILDREN
This app is for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
SECURITY
Data is encrypted in transit. Files are stored in access-controlled storage and are reachable only through short-lived links issued to your account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Our providers process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
CHANGES
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
