- Book selection considerations:
- 1) texts may be at varied levels, but all attend to focus strategy
- 2) if single text is used, it is usually at an easier reading level for most students in the group
- 3) may be teacher- or student-selected
- Groups: may be larger than guided reading group
- Identify lesson strategy focus
- Determine before reading, during reading and after reading activities
