The Student Affairs Division's Approach to Diverse Sexualities 

In April 2021, Rikkyo University announced the "Rikkyo University Declaration of Human Dignity", aiming to create an environment that respects the gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation of all students, faculty, and staff.

This website was created by a Working Group of the Student Affairs Division, which considers how to respond to diverse sexuality. The Student Affairs Division provides support to all students in the spirit of "helping and nurturing." Its mission is to help each student grow, and in keeping with that mission, it is working to create an environment where students with diverse sexualities can feel safe, and to create a campus environment that embraces diversity and respects individuality.

In order to provide hints for those who are troubled by or want to learn more about diverse sexualities, this website introduces the Student Affairs Division's efforts and counseling services regarding diverse sexualities.

The University has consistently placed importance on the human dignity of each individual, and the basis of Rikkyo University's founding principles has been to produce and nurture people who are sensitive to and empathetic to the pain of others.

In the future, all students, faculty, and staff of Rikkyo University will work together to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, which aim to realize a world in which "no one is left behind", and to contribute to the efforts to value human dignity in a society facing the spread of COVID-19 infections and make concrete efforts toward the realization of a society free of all forms of discrimination and prejudice related to diverse sexualities. 

　Based on the Rikkyo University Human Dignity Declaration, we have compiled a list of Rikkyo University's efforts to respect diverse sexualities as a way to help create a better environment for all those involved with the University.

　The information contained herein is our response at this time and may not meet the wishes of all. The University will continue its efforts to improve and enhance the campus environment where diversity is accepted, individuality is respected, and everyone can feel at ease.
