Math Classroom Economy
My students get a chance to learn financial literacy in our math class. I have created a classroom economy, where students learn how to use pretend money in a real-life way. They earn a salary for the work they do in class, pay bills, and have fun spending money at the class store! Click here for Math Class Economy info.

We are a community of learners. All of us.
We are a community of learners. All of us.
We each have two jobs in this community: Job 1) to do our best to learn the subject of math, and Job 2) to support each other.
How do we do our jobs? With a positive/neutral attitude, but NOT with a bad attitude. If you have a bad attitude, then you are not doing your job.
We all struggle. Sometimes more than others, and that's okay, which is why we have Job 1: to support each other. That's why we are a community, and we desire to be a great community.
Successful communities support each other. Successful communities lift each other up. Successful communities understand that there are consequences when you don't do your job. It doesn't just affect the one person, it affects the entire community.
Who? Us. We are a community.
What? Job 1: Learn math
Job 2: Be supportive
How? With a positive/neutral attitude.
No bad attitude!
Why? To be a successful community.
Support each other.
Lift each other up.
Understand there are consequences that affect the entire community.
