StudentVUE is how students view their grades and assignments. In StudentVUE, select the Gradebook section, then the school subject to see details. Any missing work will be indicated with the word "Missing" next to the assignment. Watch the following video for more help.

Math assignments and instructions are posted in Google Classroom. We use an app called IXL for math practice (found in Clever). To access Clever outside of school, you can watch this video for help, or use this info to sign in:

If students (or parents) want to know if they have missing assignments, then go to StudentVUE or ParentVUE to see unfinished/missing classwork. Grades are posted or updated every 2 weeks.

Students may turn in missing work or redo assignments. If they complete any IXL assignments after the deadline, they must tell me they finished it (in person or send me a message). Then I will update the online gradebook as soon as I can.

Students may retake their tests, but they must first complete all of their IXL assignments. If they still want to improve their grade after retaking a test, they need to tell me and I will talk to them about one more opportunity.

In the HB Lee Math Department, 20% of student grade is based on formative assessments (practice/participation), and 80% of student grade is summative assessments (unit test scores). We use Proficiency-Based Grading (see images), and I provide many opportunities to practice and resources to prepare for the tests. Resources can be found in Google Classroom.

Progress Reports and Report Cards
Progress Reports and Report Cards
Progress Reports are given to students in the middle of each quarter. These are usually given to students in Advisory class, and students are expected to bring them home to show their family. The Progress Report is a snapshot of student grades for each class so far in the quarter. There is still time for students to turn in the assignments they are missing! If students have low grades, then usually they just need to complete missing work and retake their assessments.

Report Cards are mailed to families at the end of each quarter. They show the final grades for each class. Students cannot turn in missing assignments at this time, because it is too late to change the grade.
