Survey course that emphasizes the foundations of American Government with an overview of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the federal government. Emphasizes American foreign policy and/or international issues facing Americans in the 21st century.

Class Periods:
This course is designed to provide the analytical skills and factual knowledge necessary to deal critically with the problems and materials in United States history. Students prep for intermediate and advanced college courses by making demands upon them equivalent to those made by full-year introductory courses. Students are encouraged to take the AP exam in May.
Prerequisite: Passing grade in prior social studies course.
