The analogy of the thoughts in our minds jumping from the past to the future, like a monkey, has been around for thousands of years. When our thoughts are jumbled, our daily lives can become complicated, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or defeated. It can be hard for us to tame our thoughts and focus mindfully on the present moment and the only time that we can truly have any control over - this moment, right now.
The Monkey Minds Program combines skill training, opportunities for practice of those skills, and mindful awareness of both our internal and external worlds all within a playful structure to help students and parents understand and tame their monkey mind. Come learn how to recognize the state your mind is in, apply strategies to find a wise mind solution to any problem, and communicate effectively with your friends even when things are hard to say. So how is your monkey mind? Let’s explore and grow together!
