RPS Next Gen Science 6-8
All students in grades 6 - 8 will begin experiencing Next Gen Science in the fall of 2018. Teachers have been preparing for the significant shifts for the last two years and are EXCITED to help students move from learning about to figuring out.

Students will be engaged in Science and Engineering practices figuring out natural phenomena and gain an understanding of core science ideas and concepts that have application across ALL fields of science.

The Next Gen student will develop an in-depth understanding of content while also developing key skills of inquiry, collaboration, problem solving, communication, and flexibility. These will serve them throughout their educational and professional lives.
