"I have been working in Ridgefield over the past 17 years and I love the collaborative nature in our district. My school community has become a family to me. The culture that we have at Branchville is one where we work together and put kids first. I started here as a new teacher and have been provided with many great mentors and professional development along the way to help me grow into the teacher I am today."
Katelyn Root, Fourth Grade
“The amount of Professional Development from the teachers and administrators has been amazing, The Elementary Director has come in and said, ‘What do you need?' The Superintendent was in my classroom and then took the time to email me that night to say how great it looked. At the new teacher lunch, she sat with us and talked with us about our interviews. She knows our names. It was so personal. I love it here.”
RPS has always had a special mystique to it, in my eyes. The outdoor concert series is fantastic. The Ridgefield Playhouse is mesmerizing. The schools are great. There's a population of Broadway performers that live here and rave about the town. My best friend George Beratis is the band director at Ridgefield High and has always had wonderful things to say. So, I have been enticed by the Ridgefield arts community as a whole for quite some time.

"Excellence is the standard here. As a new and young teacher, I am very grateful to be hired by RPS. I know they didn't hire me for the teacher that I am now; they hired me for the teacher that I would become. They trust their staff, resources, and culture here to help me grow into the teacher that I want to be."
"I met with Lori Peck [Family and Consumer Science Chair] before I even started working here. I knew right then, before I even started my student teaching, that this is the district I wanted to teach in. I introduced the idea of a television production class and have received the full support of the principal and district leadership in building that program. We'll launch Tiger TV which can earn students credit at Quinnipiac University next spring."
Katie Blake, High School Family and Consumer Science
