UMass Amherst's winter term sport academy is a one-week seminar focused on the modern front office. Students will learn about both the modern sport franchise as well as the ecosystem surrounding it, with a specific focus on Fenway Sport Management (FSM) and their properties. This will include an examination of specific franchises, such as the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC, as well as discussions on media, finance, agency strategies, and other related topics. The goal is to introduce each student to the comprehensive structure of the modern sport franchise, all while providing hands on experience as to what it would be like to major in sport management. 

Course content will be delivered synchronously (live) via Zoom for two hours each day.  Dates: January 3 - 7, 2022. Student Profile: High School Freshmen - Seniors.  Cost: $900. Application deadline: December 20th

Intern with Congressman Himes: Working in a Congressional office can be a rewarding and exciting experience. An internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable political insight and observe first-hand how our government operates. Interns cultivate a strong workplace skillset by undertaking a variety of administrative and legislative responsibilities in the office. Our office is dedicated to providing a valuable, educational experience for interns focused on strengthening their professional skillset, increasing their knowledge of working in a Congressional office, and assisting their overall career development.
