Please note the following:
This is a proposal that will be reviewed by a committee. Clubs cannot meet until the approval process has been completed.
A student can only propose ONE (1) club.
Please review list of current clubs to minimize overlap.
Proposed clubs will not be considered if there is significant overlap with current clubs.
Goals and objectives should reflect the RHS Mission Statement, and policies and procedures must keep with the philosophy of the Ridgefield Board of Education.
Students are not to find a faculty advisor.
All clubs must have a faculty advisor. This advisor will be determined by the Club Proposal Committee after initial approval; students do not need to find a faculty advisor on their own before the possible approval process.
Meeting times, locations, and student and advisor contact info must be communicated with SLO, appearing on web list and club board maintained by SLO.
All paperwork must be completed and approved by SLO before any events, etc. take place.
All money must be kept in the organization's official school club account.
Please remember that club proposals do not guarantee club approval. It is only the first step in the process, and not all clubs are approved to move forward.
THE CLUB APPROVAL PROCESS IS NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR
