Google Classroom Tips and Tricks

~Do you get tired of your email inbox getting clogged up with all those Classroom notifications? See how to turn off your Google Classroom notifications here. It's super easy!

~ Try viewing all your assignments on the calendar page, instead of going to each teacher's individual page.

TIPS for SUCCESS

1. Set a schedule for yourself for completing work; be specific about times when you have an activity, eat meals, do sports, etc.

2. Find a quiet, comfortable place to complete work. Limit distractions (phones, noise).

3. Help yourself to stay focused: put your phone on Airplane Mode while you do work, or put your phone in another location. Close all unnecessary tabs on your computer while you're working.

4. Ask for help! Email your teachers, counselor, nurse, or administrators if you need anything. We are all here to help.

5. Stay organized! Take some time to clean out your backpack, folders, and notebooks. Start to clean up your digital files by creating files and organizing them by class/subject.

6. Check Google Classroom assignments daily via the Calendar and complete assigned work each day. Avoid procrastination!!!!

7. Check e-mail daily. (Turn off Classroom notifications if you don't like so many email notifications. See above link.)

8. Charge your chromebook every night.

9. Stay connected!....with teachers, friends, and family. Human connection is important for us all!

10. Take breaks. Your brain needs them! Commit yourself to working 20-30 minutes at a time, then give yourself a break. Take a walk, play with a family pet, get a snack, play a brain game (see the Mind link), connect with a friend.
