VISION-FORWARD ARTS LEADER
Dellinger, who holds a Masters Degree in Arts Management from American University, Washington D.C., spent nearly two decades in executive leadership of arts institutions, most notably as the man who led the salvation of the historic Martha Graham Dance Company, establishing the Martha Graham Trust and Foundation, returning the company to New York, record American, and record international touring after a period following the founder’s death wherein the company fell into significant decline and near-closure. He managed the relocation of the company, separation of licensing to the new Trust and Foundation, creation of a new permanent space, licensing of the Graham image for Apple’s Think Different Campaign and finalizing arrangements for Martha’s archives and artifacts to be safely transported to the Library of Congress, among other notable achievements.
In the years since, and prior to shifting to Academia and Academic program development and teaching, he led institutions in NYC, Los Angeles and Austin. Below are highlights of his expansive professional work as vision-focused arts leader:
Founder & Program Manager, Arts & Entertainment Industries Management at Rider University Lawrenceville, NJ where he Coordinates full-time and adjunct faculty for delivery of curriculum, produces live events and professional networking activities for our 50-student program cohort and 40 minors, devises and manages program budgets, devises and leads fundraising initiatives and a Parent Coalition of volunteers, advances curricular development & innovation, program assessments & reporting while also maintaining his full-time teaching load
Founder & Executive Director, Executive Producer, TexARTS Association, Austin, TX From 2004-2010, Dellinger built and rapidly led the growth of Multiple visual & performing arts educational programs produced for adult and youth audiences of over 3,500 & over 600 enrollments in student arts education programs for aged 2-college in dance, theater, vocal performance, visual arts. He also developed and produced Multiple, multi-hundred thousand dollar “Broadway Series”productions at historic, 2,000-seat Paramount Theater downtown Austin. In addition, he produced multiple “Off-Broadway Series” musicals & plays produced in 110-seat venue which he built in the Austin capital lake region.
Executive Director, A Noise Within Classical Repertory Theater, Los Angeles, CA. From 2001-2004 Dellinger led Strategic planning & implementation, board development, staff development and venue consolidation as he initiated board and executive planning toward what ultimately became the company’s new facilities in Pasadena. In his capacity as Exeutive, Dellinger oversaw the production of repertory seasons of classical theatre and led planning and production of special projects including “A Midsummers Night Dream” with LAPhil at Hollywood Bowl. He amplified fundraising efforts and board development toward a broad strategic planning initiative that played out successfully over the subsequent years as he departed for New York.
Executive Director, Elisa Monte Dance, New York, NY 1999-2001 Dellinger led strategic planning & implementation, board development, staff development and growth. He produced multiple New York seasons of dance at the Joyce Theatre, Manhattan as well as multiple national and international tours of Elisa Monte - a protege of Martha Graham, former dancer with Pilobolous Dance and renowned choreographer. His swift and steady contingency and survival planning & its successful implementation during & following 9/11 & its impacts facilitated the company’s survival and growth when so many failed.

Prior Management Experience includes multiple years as Founding Director of Fund Development for California Musical Theatre, The Acting Company (NYC) and Martha Graham Dance prior to advancing to the executive leadership role indicated above.
