In addition to our annual Junior High Musical for students in grades 6-9 and the Senior High Musical for those in grades 9-12, RPAC Dancers enjoy a wide array of performance opportunities throughout the season. These opportunities range from captivating Broadway Revue productions to engaging masterclasses with esteemed guest artists. These experiences provide our students with ample chances to expand their dancing abilities and nurture their growth as performers.

Kait Easler serves as the resident choreographer and dance instructor at the Richland Performing Arts Center. With a dance career spanning over three decades, Mrs. Easler has been shaping the movements and routines of RPAC productions since 2015. Her passion lies in tap, jazz, and the captivating world of musical theatre. In addition to her role at RPAC, Mrs. Easler shares her dance expertise as an instructor at the Legacy Performing Arts Center in Westmont.
Mrs. Easler's multifaceted contributions to the RPAC include her role as the Creative Director, as well as her involvement in stage direction and lighting design.
Our RPAC staff has streamlined the audition process by assigning a comprehensive score to dance auditions. In our extensive experience, we've discovered that, in most instances, our initial focus during casting musical productions centers around the acting and vocal audition scores. Subsequently, we evaluate the candidates' suitability for the dance required by each role.
It's important to note that dance auditions are recorded solely for casting purposes, enabling our directors to revisit and assess which actors are best suited for dance-centric roles. We assess candidates based on several key criteria: Physical Potential, Musicality/Rhythm, Recall of Movement Sequences (Combinations), and Stage Presence and Discipline.
Each production is unique, and not every dancer possesses the versatility to excel in every dance genre. Mrs. Easler's primary aim is to identify the quality and potential of our actors' movements when making casting decisions.
If you have any inquiries or require further information about our dance auditions or casting process, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Easler.

"I love working collaboratively with our students to create the best show and experience possible - That being said, if we are respectful of one another and adhere to my and my fellow staff members' expectations, we will have SO much fun in the process!"
