📅 Application Window:
Choice 1 Applications open November 10, 2025, at 8:00 AM and must be completed online at https://webapps.richland2.org/choice/.
The application deadline is December 19, 2025.

🧭 Who Can Apply?

Any 5th, 6th, or 7th-grade student residing in Richland School District Two is eligible to apply for our program.

Student evaluations are based on:

• Academic performance and quarterly grades
  
  

• Motivation and collaboration skills demonstrated through an official interview and group activity
  
  

• Test scores, teacher recommendations, and a writing sample
  
  

Students should ideally score “Meets Expectations” or higher on SCReady or show equivalent MAP scores.
Please note: Parents are responsible for transportation if the student is not zoned for Dent Middle School.

🎤 Interviews

District-wide student interviews will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Applicants will receive their interview date and time via email once their online application has been submitted and processed.

💌 Notification of Acceptance

Families will be notified of student acceptance February 9–13, 2026, through the Choice Application website.
