SOAR is a selective program for motivated students who want to take their high school experience to the next level through the College Board’s AP Capstone™ program and university-level coursework. Students must apply and be accepted into SOAR by no later than the end of their sophomore year. Redhawks graduating as SOAR scholars must meet the requirements outlined in one of two pathways.

SOAR Graduation Honors & The AP Capstone Diploma™ Requirements
A specialized track for scholars who demonstrate university-level research, analysis, and presentation skills, and choose to pursue an AP Capstone Diploma™ through the College Board.
🎓 Academic Excellence:
Maintain a minimum 3.5/4.0 GPA.
🔍 The Capstone Core:
Complete AP Seminar and AP Research.
📚 Rigorous AP Coursework:
Complete 6 Honors courses and 4 Additional AP courses.
🌍 Beyond the Classroom:
Engage in SOAR Enrichment Activities designed and curated to help students bridge the gap between theory and application
⭐ The Recognition:
Scholars who earn a score of 3 or higher in AP Seminar, AP Research, and 4 additional AP exams receive the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma™ from the College Board. Redhawks completing this pathway are distinguished with a SOAR stole, academic pin, and formal recognition of excellence at commencement.
