The Scholars of Academic Rigor (SOAR) Honors Academy is for qualified Westwood High School Redhawks seeking to further bridge the gap between high school expectations and university-level research and academic standards. SOAR is our AP Capstoneโข program. The Academy is led by Dr. Angela Hill who is also a teacher in the program.ย

The SOAR Google Classroom is accessible by SOAR Scholars only and is an invitation only set of resources, updates, and assignments. If you are a current SOAR Scholar, you should have received an invitation visible in email and in the Google Classroom.

Choose a pathway to SOAR graduation!
There are two pathways to graduation.ย Both require a 3.5/4.0 GPA, AP Seminar and AP Research, additional university level work, and completion of assigned enrichment activities. However, there is some flexibility regarding meeting the requirements for additional college level coursework through AP and/or Dual Enrollment courses.ย

How do students apply to be considered for SOAR?
