I am originally from Holt, Michigan, but knew from a young age that I was a southern girl trapped in a northerner's body. After I graduated high school, I decided it was time to move south, and I attended Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Human Development. During those four years, I played beach volleyball and developed a strong passion for connecting with high school students through a ministry organization I volunteered with called YoungLife.
Not knowing what my next step was after college, I applied to graduate school at the University of South Carolina, got accepted, and graduated Class of '25 with my Education Specialist Degree in School Counseling. Now, I’m working at the same high school I completed my internship in, alongside the fantastic staff and community of students and parents who strive to be purpose-driven and future-ready. When I am not at SVHS, I enjoy various physical activities, such as CrossFit or Volleyball, spending time with my dog, Frankie, and catching up with friends and family. I am excited for what’s ahead for my students and myself alike; the best is yet to come!
