2016-17 School Year

Reading Seminar students wrote lyric essays about themselves and created songs. A lyric essay is a short poetic personal essay. For this project, storyteller and actor Darrion McCloud coached students on having the courage to tell their stories and for the final product, music producer and audio engineer Bless created original beats to produce the songs below. McCloud and Bless' visits were made possible by a grant from the Spring Valley Education Foundation. The pictures below are from students in 1st and 2nd Period recording their songs.
