Extra Tips:
While we will work to identify some opportunities for our students to fulfill the C.S. and C.E. requirements in groups and on our school campus, we highly encourage parents and students to work together to coordinate off-campus and weekend opportunities. Many of the individual volunteer sign-up opportunities are actually small group opportunities. For example, a small group of students could sign-up for the same volunteer event, and parents can alternate carpooling, or students could plan to meet and attend a theater production, music festival, etc. with other students. Coordinating events would be a great way to bond with fellow magnet students and parents. Information on other community service opportunities and cultural events will be shared via our SMORE newsletter and/or through Parent Portal.
