AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an academic support program integrated throughout Dent Middle School. AVID can be taken as a co-curricular class, and you will also see AVID learning strategies implemented throughout the school. Through these strategies, students learn organizational and study skills, critical thinking, motivational activities, and so much more.
AVID's mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.
