Conder's AVID Site

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID assists schools and students in closing the opportunity gap by preparing students for college readiness and success in a global society. At Conder, your child participates in AVID activities and learns strategies and skills such as writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading skills that will help prepare your child for life after elementary school.

Five years ago, Conder began showcasing its students and how they were using the AVID strategies to become more successful students. Teachers and students gathered samples of work that exhibits the AVID strategies and skills used in their classrooms. Students share these samples with their families and how they can be used at home to help study and practice skills learned at school. Below are some pictures from past AVID Showcases.
