Students are provided with a task. They work independently to create ways to solve the task. After gathering their own ideas, students are grouped to share ways to solve the task. The group must come to a consensus on how to solve the problem. Students can use words or pictures to show their thoughts. Students are given the tools they feel necessary to solve the problem and determine if they are successful.
