Mr. Crews

Phillip Crews is a nationally respected band director, jazz drummer, and percussionist. He is active with ILMEA, having served as a conductor for several ensembles at the All-State Conference. Mr. Crews has taught at Rich Township High School for 18 years. He also teaches at Birch Creek Music Summer Academy and conducts the Prairie State College Wind Ensemble, while juggling an active performing life. Under his tutelage, the bands at Rich Township have won numerous awards including the highly competitive Cotton Bowl Classic and the Chicago Football Classic Battle of the Bands pre-game competitions.
