• Linguistics Department | The University of New Mexico

  • faculty research includes areas such as bilingualism, sociolinguistics, child language acquisition, and how language exposure shapes processing skills.

• Christine Duncan's Heritage Academy

  • dual language academy, striving to promote biliteracy for all students through research and data focused instruction.

Locations that we are seeking to explore in the Rio Grande River Valley include:

• Department of Bilingual and Literacy Studies | UTRGV 

  • graduate programs and faculty research focus on classroom challenges, language policy, literacy, and more in borderland communities.

• Dual Language Program - PSJA Early College High School

  • develops academic and cognitive skills in both English and Spanish from early grades through high school, which then awards graduates with a bilingual and biliterate seal.
