A board game was developed for educational purposes that complies with Sustainable Development Goal number 4 since it is desired to develop a quality education that gives the ability to anyone to have certain knowledge, promoting learning in a healthy and fun way.
For the project, an investigation was first developed on the board games that exist in order to have a knowledge about them and have a base by which to work, then after having the investigation, a survey was carried out to the public to know their opinions allowing the game to be develop depending on their responses. When evaluating the results of the survey, it was concluded that a card game was made, with the target audience of people from 13 to 18 years old. The public, in turn, is driven to consume a game that has an interesting and original theme, which is why it was decided to use a mystery theme due to the results obtained during the polls. For the didactic purposes of the game it was decided that it would be based on learning about multiple knowledge of basic subjects such as mathematics, science, language and history.
By having a base on which to work, the graphic image of the game began to be developed through a process of "naming" where it would be possible to choose the name of the product among various proposals, which would be "Yo pasando iba." By already having the naming, work would be done on the development of the logo that would represent the game where the logo that stands out from the market is sought without losing the touch of the proposed theme, attracting the public. The theme of the game was defined, which is set in New York in the 1920s where a murder is carried out, for which various detectives must find the culprit of this, they must answer various questions about multiple knowledge to gain clues and whoever discovers the murderer takes the victory, but the murderer is among them so he can also answer questions to obtain clues and thus achieve victory by not being discovered.
Different graphic elements were made that were consistent with the theme raised, from elements seen at that time to elements seen at crime scenes. To give color to the graphic image, a color palette must be defined, which must match the theme and the feeling that you want to convey depending on the color used. It is necessary to develop a packaging because it is the essential part of a product since it is the first impression that the public has about it so it should encourage its purchase, for the packaging of the game it was decided to use a primary packaging, the which is the one that has direct contact with the product, where it was decided that the way to open it was original to attract the attention of the public and its design was consistent with the theme of mystery following the basic principles of design.
Knowing the design of the packaging begins to work on the cards and game board, the cards were divided into three parts, the first one that shows the roles that the players will play in the game, be it the murderer, the victim or a detective, the Part Two is for multiple knowledge questions and Part Three is about the clues players receive when they correctly answer a question. For the design of the board it was decided to base it on a laughter park where the players must always move following the rules provided.
As a final part, the construction of two advertising pieces for various media, both digital and printed, was carried out. A digital piece was made for a post on the Facebook social network and for a printed medium a piece was made for a billboard.
