Our purpose in this project is to create awareness on how the consumption of meat affects both our daily diet and also global warming, taking into account how each of the sectors is affected, which are: livestock and industrial, knowing this we can begin.
First, we must know that the livestock sector in itself generates a dangerous gas called methane gas, which produces 9% of the CO2 from human activity, however, it should be noted that it is a means of subsistence for thousands of people, and many of them do not have the means to completely change your diet as proposed, however we highlight some possible solutions to this problem.
How does beef production help climate change? Statistics show that beef and lamb account for half of all greenhouse gas emissions because cattle release methane, a profound greenhouse gas.
It is also suggested that, despite calls to minimize consumption of animal products, in many areas around the world, beef consumption continues to rise as income is optimized. However, some analysts also point out that minimizing beef consumption is not in itself the solution if beef is replaced by soybeans or other products grown on deforested land.
However, there is certainly something we can do to curb the damage caused by animal production to help the environment: 1st reduce our meat consumption or become vegetarians.
First they must find a balance because meat consumption or the meat market cannot disappear because the planet is economically dependent on these profits, so these giant investors, owners of organizations or environmental campaigns must find ways to minimize the harm done to the environment and keep the meat industry running like a meatless Monday, find a way to use less raw material in making meat and find a way to reforest all the land that has been deforested and obviously also the ozone layer to minimize climate change and find a balance.
These effects, the effect of global warming, influence food production and cause the defeat of crops, the loss of forests and changes in the reproduction and distribution of certain animals such as birds or fish.
From the point of view of the meat sector, from the extensive meat sector, it is estimated to be built not only by slaughterhouses and meat product processing industries, but by a chain or agro-industrial complex that encloses from the cattle production stage to the sale of the final product.
The challenges of the meat sector industry.
Referents of the beef sector, originating from State organizations, considered that, at present, the challenge of the sector is to preserve our own export markets and more than anything else to open new markets, in the viable Japan and the USA, which are the most significant worldwide.
The effect that the meat area has on the diet is also a fundamental point because an analysis by the University of Oxford has examined the environmental effect of the production and transportation of food that supplies the 7,575 million individuals that inhabit the world and in this analysis it is assured that the case of our world is critical because the area of livestock and industry generates a massive portion of greenhouse gases.
