What? Early Career Principal Coaching Program SY 2023-2034
Empowering early career Principals (1st-4th year) to accelerate student learning through strength based leadership
Where? The following are the requirements to participate in the program.
Each SY client completes 25 to 30 hours of one-on -one virtual and/or in person coaching.
Participate in a community of practice which meets every 4-6 weeks.
After completion of these requirements, clients & coaches will receive a certificate for professional learning hours/units.
When? August 15, 16, 17 *differentiated for new & returning coaches, and clients* IN-PERSON COACHING SESSIONS: Tues. Oct 10, Dec. 5, Feb. 6 and April 2 from 4:30-6:30PM
Why? By helping new principals understand ways to implement and integrate district priorities in more strategic ways, RIASP coaching can accelerate student learning through strength based leadership.
How much? Coaching cost is $1600 to be paid by client or school/district + RIASP association dues for SY 23-24 $620 = $2220. The cost of the coaching program can be covered in Title II Part A. This expense can also fall under administrative professional development. Our partnership with the Rhode Island Foundation has allowed us to keep the cost down. Sign me up!
