An Adult Transition Program (ATP) is a special education program for young adults (typically 18-22) with disabilities, focusing on developing skills for independent living, employment, and community participation after high school, often through hands-on training, community-based experiences, and partnerships with local agencies to build confidence and real-world readiness. These programs offer vocational training, life skills, social skills, and support for post-secondary education, helping students transition into productive adult lives.
