This project required students to create a scene in OBS Studio in which they had a Rocket League tutorial or game screen, a video capture of themselves, and a text source to go with the video capture. The challenge was to try to balance out the two audio sources - game and voice - as they talked their way through a tutorial or played through a game.
Angel took to OBS Studio quickly and produced a nice tutorial that included some extras like a green-screen effect on his video and a controller graphic on screen.
Andrew produced a nice video showing the difficulty of playing defense in Rocket League. He also explored some of the options for text manipulation on his name.
Victor created a nice tutorial on basic skills in Rocket League and did a good job of managing his audio sources. He also added a nice graphic overlay to his video capture!
This project required students to set up an OBS Studio scene in which they created a Rocket League 1v1 Private Match, added video captures of the two players they invited to play the match, added text sources to go with the video captures, and then shoutcast the match in spectator mode. The challenges were many as the students had to not only set the OBS scene up, but then keep up with the action as they described what was going on during the match!

This project required students to consider their Rocket League Club (three team members) and create a logo that would represent the team. The logo could be used in broadcasts, on flyers and posters, and on team clothing. The project itself introduced students to graphic design elements using colors, shapes and text. While the students had a wide variety of graphic programs they could use, most students did their work in Canva.com.

This project required students to set up at least three OBS Studio scenes to broadcast a 1v1 Rocket League match between their teammates and then transition to each scene during the match. This increased the complexity of their broadcasts as they had to do everything included in the OBS Shoutcast Project, but then add scene transitions during the broadcast. Again, the challenges were many as they had to make sure their audio feeds were good, their video feeds were working for each player, their transitions made sense, all while shoutcasting a match!
Broadcasting a match between Ezekiel Alonso and Andrew Arango!
Broadcasting a match between Ruben Gonzalez and Jesus Lizarraga!
Broadcasting a match between Eliahs Haymon and Alex Ruiz!
This project required students to imagine that they were tasked with promoting an upcoming Rocket League Tournament. They needed to create a poster that was visually exciting as well as informative. The challenge on a project like this was that they had to figure out how to put A LOT of information in a relatively small space and still make it look good!
